Caernarfon Castle

Unfortunately the rain would not allow us a second attempt on Snowdon.  However, we visited the most significant castle in Wales, the Caenarfon Castle.  Caenarfon Castle is the castle where Prince Charles became the Prince of Wales.  It was finished in 1287 by Edward the 1st.  For centuries it was the hub of commerce and military fortification in Northern Wales.  It was a key port to the Irish Sea.  Again, the pictures probably don't capture the scale and the greenery of the surroundings, but here they are:

  1. Have you had bangers and mash over there yet? How about Haggis or Black Pudding? Have you tried that beer that they serve warm?

  2. We have had Bangars and Mash, but not the rest. The beers are outstanding I need to go into rehab when I get back. The food in England completely lives up to its reputation. Wales and Ireland were surprisingly good, but I can't say I had a decent email in England. I drank my calories.
